
Dr Sayed Hamid Jurmi is Associate Lecturer and PhD scholar at the University of Greater
Manchester (Bolton) the United Kingdom. His research focuses on the public policy development in post-conflict nations, with a specific interest on female education in Afghanistan. He holds two master’s degrees from UCL (IOE) in Education and International Development, and his second master’s degree was in Islamic Education from Markfield Institute of Higher Education. He is the founder and Director of ELM (Education – the Lifelong Mission) a non-profit organization in the UK and a registered charity in Afghanistan, engaged in women’s leadership, and empowerment. Dr Sayed’s ten years of work experience in development management in Afghanistan, and twenty years of academic and professional engagement in education leadership in the UK enabled him to hold conferences and run seminars and workshops for communities in the UK and Afghanistan.
He presented his research paper at various international conferences, and he published articles on education and leadership international journals.
Dr Sayed is also a co-founder and trustee of Hayat Foundation, a registered charity in the UK, engaged in humanitarian work in Afghanistan and humanitarian projects in Afghanistan. His social activism and passion to consolidate social justice and stability in Afghanistan turned in to a meaningful mission for him as a member of the delegation.
