Dr. Humayra Hemmat is an Afghan American physician and surgeon dedicated to humanitarian service and the advancement of healthcare, education, and sustainable development in Afghanistan. She serves as President and Executive Director of the Hemayat Charity Foundation (HCF) and is an active member of the Afghan Diaspora Delegation, Jirga.
Dr. Hemmat holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Ayub Medical College. Through HCF and her work with the Afghan diaspora, she promotes initiatives that strengthen healthcare services, support vulnerable communities, and foster sustainable progress. She believes in the power of collaboration and remains committed to building a healthier, more prosperous future for all Afghans.
