Summary of Discussion
The meeting began in a constructive and positive mode. After introductions, the Jirga provided an overview of their efforts so far, it's mission and ongoing initiatives aimed at reopening of girls schools, stability, and inclusive development. Discussions focused on the future framework of cooperation between the Jirga and the European Union, particularly regarding inclusive education.
The EU delegation recognised the Jirga as a productive, representative, and inclusive Afghan initiative capable of driving positive change. They expressed strong appreciation and support for the Jirga’s efforts and confirmed their interest in maintaining close collaboration, including a planned visit to meet the Jirga team in London in the near future.
