At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Noor Alam Hakimyar shed light on the activities and recent achievements of the Afghan Diaspora Jirga, its elections, the Jirga’s upcoming third visit to Afghanistan, its ongoing meetings with Afghan communities and notable figures abroad, and other future plans. Hakimyar also highlighted existing challenges, particularly regarding girls’ education, and stressed the important role of religious scholars. He noted that in the Jirga’s upcoming visits, there will be more consultations, cooperation, and even the active participation of scholars.

he Delegation held a highly productive and insightful meeting with the Oxford Afghan Society, which brought together a diverse group of influential community leaders, respected academics, published writers, and experienced professionals from different fields.

The delegation with an expanded mandate and enhanced support will once again visit Afghanistan to engage in discussions with Taliban officials. We will keep you updated here on any developments.

The delegation held meetings with members of the European Parliament, various officials in Brussels, and notably with the EU Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Mr. Thomas Nicklson.

The Delegation held productive discussions with the Afghan Cultural Centre, emphasising the importance of unity among all Afghans. Together, they agreed that all efforts must be coordinated under a unified platform to promote peace and prosperity for Afghanistan.

We also had the honour of meeting the former President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, who expressed deep concern regarding the current situation in the country.

We were warmly welcomed by Mawlawi Kabir, the Political Deputy of the Prime Minister, who expressed eagerness to address these critical issues.

We also had the opportunity to meet Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Interior Minister, to discuss the aforementioned crucial matters.

We had the privilege of meeting Mawlawi Yaqoub, the Defense Minister, to discuss matters of critical importance to our country.
